Host the Perfect Event: Why Indoor Golf Simulators Are Great for Parties & Corporate Events

Looking for a unique way to host your next party or corporate event? Forget the typical banquet halls or crowded restaurants—indoor golf simulators offer a fun, interactive, and memorable experience that everyone can enjoy, whether they’re seasoned golfers or complete beginners.

At Albatross Indoor Golf in Ancaster, we’ve seen firsthand how golf simulators can turn an ordinary gathering into something special. Here’s why they’re the perfect choice for your next event.

1. Fun for Everyone—No Golf Experience Needed

One of the biggest perks of indoor golf simulators is that anyone can play. Whether your guests are avid golfers or have never picked up a club, simulators level the playing field with user-friendly setups, fun game modes, and even mini challenges. It’s not just golf—many simulators offer other interactive games, making it ideal for mixed groups.

With features like driving ranges, putting challenges, and even mini-games, your guests will stay engaged throughout the event. It’s a fantastic icebreaker and keeps the energy high from start to finish.

2. Perfect Year-Round, No Weather Worries

Rain or shine, summer or winter—your event is always in season at an indoor golf centre. No need to stress about the forecast or rescheduling due to bad weather. With climate-controlled comfort, your guests can enjoy a round at Pebble Beach or St. Andrews without leaving Ancaster.

Plus, with advanced Golfzon technology, you’ll experience realistic gameplay, from swing analysis to simulated course conditions. It’s as close to the real thing as you can get—without the sunscreen or rain gear!

3. Great for Team Building and Networking

Corporate events don’t have to be boring. Indoor golf creates a relaxed, engaging atmosphere where colleagues and clients can connect. Set up friendly competitions, longest drive contests, or closest-to-the-pin challenges to encourage teamwork and interaction—far better than awkward small talk around a conference table!

Adding prizes or fun awards can boost participation and make your event even more memorable. It’s a great way to foster camaraderie and leave a lasting impression.

4. Private Spaces and Customizable Setups

Many indoor golf centres, like Albatross Indoor Golf, offer private bays or full venue rentals. This means you can customize your event with food, drinks, music, and even branded touches for corporate functions. Whether it’s a birthday bash, bachelor party, or corporate retreat, you get a tailored experience that suits your group.

Need a screen for a presentation before tee time? No problem. Want to play your own playlist? You got it. Flexibility is what makes indoor golf venues stand out.

5. Affordable and Flexible Packages

Compared to traditional event venues, indoor golf simulators offer cost-effective options. You can book by the hour, by the bay, or reserve the entire space for larger gatherings. Plus, there’s no need to rent extra entertainment—the simulators are the entertainment!

Whether you’re hosting a small get-together or a large corporate outing, there’s a package to fit your needs and budget.

6. Licensed Venues = Food & Drinks While You Play

Most indoor golf centres are fully licensed, so you can enjoy drinks and catering while playing. It’s the perfect combination of socializing and activity, keeping guests entertained throughout the event without needing to move locations.

At Albatross Indoor Golf, we offer food options to make sure your guests are well-fed while they play.

FAQ

How does pricing work?

We charge per hour per bay only. We do not charge per person. You can have up to 4 people at the same bay and pay the same hourly rate.

Do I need a credit card to book if I have a gift card or voucher?

Yes. A valid credit card is still required to secure your booking. Bring your physical gift card or voucher with you to your reservation. Our team will apply the balance to your bill in-house at the end of your visit.

What makes our golf simulators different?

Our GolfZon simulators offer one of the most advanced indoor golf experiences in the world, with features designed to make every round feel like the real thing:

  • Automatic Ball Teeing – No bending or chasing balls; the system tees it up for you every time.
  • Tilting Swing Plate – The hitting platform lifts and tilts to recreate uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies.
  • Short Game Realism – From chips and putts to flop shots, Golfzon’s short game play is as true-to-life as it gets.
  • Unmatched Accuracy – Overhead high-speed cameras capture club and ball data with incredible precision, including ball speed, spin, carry, and trajectory.
  • 300+ Courses Worldwide – Play on some of the best courses from around the globe, all in stunning detail.
What is the VIP Bay?

Our VIP Bay is a private, premium simulator space designed for an elevated golf experience. It features a Golfzon simulator with all the same advanced technology—moving swing plate, auto-tee, and world-class courses—but in a larger, enclosed room with extra seating and comfort. It’s perfect for private groups, corporate events, celebrations, or anyone looking for a little more space and exclusivity while they play.

Does the floor really move?

Yes, it does! The Golfzon hydraulic swing plate lifts and tilts to recreate uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies for a truly realistic challenge. You’ll also find different hitting surfaces—fairway, rough, and sand—to match your shot. And no shortcuts: the system knows where the ball is and will apply a distance penalty if you hit from the wrong area.

How many players can use one bay?

Each simulator bay can comfortably accommodate 4 players. It’s ideal for solo practice sessions, friendly games, or group events like leagues and parties.

How long does it take to play 18 holes?

A single player can complete 18 holes in about 1 hour. Groups of 4 usually take around 3 – 4 hours, depending on the pace of play.

Do I need to bring my own golf clubs and balls?

We recommend bringing your own clubs for the most authentic experience, but we also have rental sets available if needed. Golfzon simulators are designed to work with all standard clubs. As for balls, you don’t need to bring any—our simulators use high-quality balls specifically designed for accurate play and tracking.

Is there an app to track my stats?

Yes! The free Golfzon app (available on Google Play and the App Store) records all your rounds and keeps track of your stats once you create a profile. You’ll be able to see your average driving distance, fairway and green percentages, and average putts per round. After a few games, the app even calculates your handicap—perfect for use in our leagues and tournaments.

Where is the racing simulator located?

Our racing simulator is exclusively available at our Stoney Creek location at Albatross Indoor Golf.
